For Office Hours this month, we had a presentation from Garrett Fowler, ResFrac Chief Operating Officer, entitled, “The Impact of Extended-time Proppant Conductivity Impairment on the Ultimate Recovery from Unconventional Horizontal Well Completions.”

For Office Hours this month, we had a presentation by Charles A. Kang, ResFrac Chief Technology Officer. Charles did an intro and demo of the newly launched automated history matching tool in ResFrac.

Sama Morsy presents her 2021 paper with Chevron on Unconventional Optimized Strategy Development Workflow, discussing completion design optimization due to depletion and also the preloading process to safeguard against damage to parent and child wells due to depletion and offset fracturing. She also highlights additional modeling capabilities with ResFrac and how ResFrac can be used for the optimal evaluation of completion designs.

For this Office Hours, Garrett gives us a sneak peek into the newest ResFrac release, which includes the industry-leading MulTipEl algorithm (continuous fracture propagation).

This month, we had a presentation from ResFrac Senior Consulting Engineer, Dr. Ankush Singh, entitled, “Stress variations with depth and hydraulic fracture optimization”.
