ResFrac Retreat in Colorado

For the first time in more than two years, the entire (almost!) ResFrac team gathered in Denver. We mixed education (thank you to our friends at Liberty Services for showing us the nuts and bolts of frac’ing)…

…with fun. Have you seen a better-looking bunch?

However, true to form, a subset of ResFracians decided to take on an endurance event called the Imperial Challenge the next day. The premise of the Imperial Challenge is that you run/bike to the base of the Breckenridge ski resort from the village of Breckenridge, then skin to the very tippy-top of the ski resort before finally skiing back to the base, map below:

The most stylish of competitors (Garrett) chose to carry their skis with them on the bike, though the more rational competitors (Dirk) staged their gear for faster biking. Others decided to run to the base of the gondola (Egor).

The entire route covers more than 4000 ft of elevation gain. Though nothing does it justice like this picture of midway up the bike:

Three ResFracians conquered the course, from left to right Egor, Dirk (Managing Partner at Altira Group – the primary financial backer of ResFrac), and Garrett.
